-Truly a tasteless comment – without defense in my view

Alright, that was a bit much. With respect to the issue, at least, he's right on.

Not as embarrassing as the video of George W. Bush flipping the bird though.

By the way, I'm going to see Mike Huckabee tonight at his last rally before the S.C. primary. Should have some pictures to post when I come back ...

Exciting Stephen-- I wish Tennessee had an early primary.

Huckabee's personal opinion of the confederate flag and his former occupation as a preacher are both irrelevant.

Huckabee is defending state's rights.

Although this flag is offensive to many and is a symbol of "treason and racial bigotry," (as someone else said) leaving the decision up to the state is a more responsible choice.

Someone else pointed out that Huckabee is a hypocrite because he does not support a woman's right to choose, but does support a state's right to choose a flag.

Abortion could also be left up to the states. Southern bible belt states can make it illegal and keep all the moralizers happy, while NY, CA etc can have it legal. If ya need one, just go to CA or NY or the nearest legal state. Or move to a state whose policies suit you. The Federal government blanketing laws over the entire country is always going to piss certain groups off, this country is just too large and diverse.

Everyone wins with states rights.
