Ohio First in the Nation!

...in food stamp recipients. An incredible 1 in 10 Ohioans receive food stamps at a cost of $121 million annually and rising. Crazy!

Yikes. Somehow, I don't think that is something I'd want to be first in.

No kidding! I would NEVER have guessed such a high number--1 in 10!?! Speaking as one of the working poor (my income for a family of 5 is just north of the official poverty line), I can't quite figure out what the big problem is.

I consider myself to be quite well-off. I own almost every luxury item I have ever wanted. Our food budget is scandalously low, but we eat plenty of delicious and healthy food each day. We own a house and have an emergency savings account. I am NOT POOR!

Maybe we just need more Dave Ramsey in our state!
