Today's Goldberg Column

Jonah Goldberg's "The Genocide Loophole" addresses the false (and largely irrelevant) distinction between genocide, as defined by the UN, and "ordinary" mass-murder. This is the same false logic that has given us the "hate crime," where a person's racial or other bias adds weight to the already horrific crime. Whether it is the murder of many or of one, murder is evil in its own right. We need not look for distinctions that tend to dilute the evil of some forms of murder while accentuating the evil of other forms. Thanks to Travis for the heads up!
