Big Corporations or a Free Market?

I just stumbled across this very enlightening article from Cato Unbound. Roderick Long describes how liberals, conservatives and libertarians have all been guilty of confusing the fact that big corporations are not a result of a free market. Mind-bending, but true. Whip conflation now!

yeah and it looks like all the big corporations are going to stick around forever, because a big cooperation is not allowed to fail the government will just keep feeding them money! See GM and Ford and oh yeah 95% of the banks in America!! Let all the big business fail so we can go back to small mom and pop business that are honest!

Maybe we'll get a free market for a little while after things all fall apart and before a dictator rises to "fix" everything.

I'm beginning to doubt whether men are capable of freedom.
