Global Cooling

Gore's home state, Tennessee, continues to cool. It's also more-or-less my home state (I'm glad they finally took down the big Gore signs when you enter the state). It hasn't been this cool on July 21 since Rutherford B. Hayes was president! Catch a clue, folks--global temperature is a result of solar activity, not levels of CO2.

BTW - Sorry for the recent wave of blog-cooling. It's camp season.

Are you suggesting that the Sun somehow affects the temperature of the Earth?

Please refer to my comment on August 7th, 2009 blog post: "More Global Warming Nonsense" to answer the difference between the Sun affecting the temperature (of course it's does) but how global warming is still a very real effect due to various gases in our atmosphere such as water vapor, CO2 and CH4. Without the greenhouse effect, our planet would be frozen completely. With it we have a temperate climate, but adding more greenhouse gases to the atmosphere will naturally increase the climate and can cause future problems.
